Greetings from Palm Springs. We’re jumping-up-and-down excited that the folks at Palm Springs have chosen to screen Kitty Kitty in the 2011 Palm Springs Shortfest. Perhaps it was the excitement or perhaps it was the 114 degree heat cooking my brain like a poached egg, but I forgot to mention it until the screening already happened.
The festival’s been great so far. We’ve seen a ton of fantastic short films, met some talented filmmakers, and received a wonderful interview in the Desert Sun.
Horror of science
Michael Medaglia, director of “Kitty, Kitty” in today’s Altered States program, is a budding horror film director.
He was a Cal Tech student before he got into film, so he’s always been attracted to science. Now he finds that’s helping him find movie material.
