KITTY KITTY SLATED FOR FREE RELEASE JUNE 10th!

KittyKittyPressPoster

We are pleased to announce that Kitty Kitty has been slated for a worldwide, free release to the general public on June 10, 2011. This release will take place over a P2P file-sharing network and featured on Vodo.net, a website committed to promoting file-sharing as an alternative distribution route for indie films. Think of it as a sort of organized and authorized piracy.

How Do You Watch It?

Kitty Kitty will be part of a VODO’s sci-fi shorts. On June 10th, 2011, just go to http://vodo.net/kittykitty and click the big download button on the right to get the torrent.

Keep your MONEY. We want your EYEBALLS.

Why give the film away for free? This release is part of the Million Eyeballs Project, which we created partly as a social experiment, and partly as a bet where we asked ourselves: can we get one million eyeballs to watch our short film? Find out more about the Million Eyeballs Project.

So, FREE free?

Yes… BUT if you feel compelled to give back, donate whatever amount you like, also at http://vodo.net/kittykitty

What’s The Film About?

Kitty Kitty is a short film about love, cats and brain parasites.
This disturbing short was inspired by Toxoplasmosis: a disease caused by a brain parasite that can change human behavior and is believed to affect up to a third of the world population.
You can watch the trailer and find a full EPK.

What is Vodo?

VODO helps promote and distribute new creative works & enables those enjoying shared media to make donations to creators. They bring together creators looking for an effective way to distribute their work with file-sharing sites willing to help promote it and get it out.

They’ve made deals with some of the biggest P2P names, many who have offered to donate at least a day’s worth of their front page marketing real-estate to our filmmakers for free.
